UND unveiled its new Adidas hockey jerseys for the first time Monday night, revealing slight changes on the home white and road green jerseys and major changes to the road black jersey.

The changes come as UND's entire athletic department moves to Adidas as its uniform provider.

The black jersey, which UND has traditionally worn for big or must-win games, is more solid black than the most recent version. UND has removed the green shoulders and the striping across the bottom.

It now looks much more like the version UND started wearing in 2006-07, when the black jerseys became the team's good-luck charm. UND repeatedly won in that black jersey and wore it all the way to the NCAA Frozen Four semifinals, where it lost to Boston College. That jersey was provided by Nike.

The biggest difference in the green jerseys is the striping on the arms and torso.

For the last couple of years, the green jerseys had just a black stripe surrounded by two white stripes. Now, the striping has green in the middle and is surrounded by white and black.

Last year's jersey also had a white border separating the green and black on the shoulders. The new version does not have that border anymore.

The new striping on the arms and torso will match the striping on the socks.

The white jerseys are the most similar to the last ones.

Like the green jerseys, it no longer has a border between the white body and green shoulders. The size of the striping on the arms and torso is slightly different, too.

This is the second time in three years that UND has unveiled new jerseys.

Prior to the 2017-18 season, UND altered the jerseys to have the font on the front match the one that the athletic department recently adopted. During that change, UND also put its new Fighting Hawk logo on the shoulders.

The Fighting Hawk logo will remain on the shoulders in all three jerseys.
