Realtor Safety Seminar planned in Fargo

FARGO, N.D. • Like many other jobs that require interaction with the public, selling real estate involves some risk.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Premier Properties is committed to protecting real estate agents and will host a Realtor Safety Seminar from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, at 1815 38th St. South in Fargo.

The company said real estate agents will learn safety tips from professionals and will get the chance to buy pepper spray and other safety items.

Lt. Tommy Ray from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Abbi Damsel from Damsel in Defense will discuss basic self-defense tactics, as well as situational awareness, mental preparation, legalities of self-defense, creating a personal safety plan and more. (The company said it has opened this training to anyone in sixth grade and up.)
