KLJ names new chief administrative officer
GRAND FORKS, N.D. • KLJ Engineering LLC has named Martin Fritz as the company’s chief administrative officer.
In this role, Fritz is responsible for overall operations of the company, including the company’s safety programs and procedures, strategy development, legal, risk management, insurance, office/facilities leasing and construction, and related administrative management.
He joined KLJ in the beginning of 2018 as the company’s market director for their Energy and Natural Resources Division, specifically serving the oil and gas, power, and telecommunication industries.
Prior to joining KLJ Fritz held various executive level leadership roles at several public companies most recently serving as president and chief executive officer of WBI Holdings, Inc., MDU Resources Group’s pipeline, midstream, and energy services business.
He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from The Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University and previously practiced both as a corporate attorney with Duane Morris LLP and deputy general counsel with EQT Corporation.
Fritz also earned a bachelor’s degree in business/economics from University of Pittsburgh and began his career with Ernst & Young where he earned his CPA.
SD CEO welcomes marketing specialist
SPEARFISH, S.D. • SD CEO West Women’s Business Center, an organization that provides training, counseling, and technical assistance to aspiring women and entrepreneurs in the state of South Dakota, welcomes Carissa Hauck as the new marketing specialist.
Hauck is the owner and co-founder of Scobi Kombucha and brings her three years of entrepreneurial experience to SD CEO.
Hauck received her Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Human Resources from Black Hills State University in 2018. An active student on campus, she was the administrative assistant for the International Student Organization, secretary and treasurer for the Honors Club, Business Honor Society member of Beta Gamma Sigma, and participant in the Cultural Ambassador Program.
She graduated with honors and as an International Regent Scholar.
Hauck will manage the marketing strategy, market research, social media, website, and other marketing projects for SD CEO in Spearfish and Sioux Falls.
Arvig promotes team member to director of cybersecurity
PERHAM, Minn. • Arvig recently promoted Eric Wilkens to the position of director of cybersecurity.
Wilkens serves on the Board of Directors for the North Dakota chapter of Infragard, the Minnesota MTA Cyber Security Committee, NTCA Cybersecurity Working Group, and has presented at several security conferences.
Wilkens earned his Bachelor of Science in Management from Bellevue University, Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from Bellevue University, and most recently earned his Doctorate in Information Technology specializing in Information Assurance and Security from Capella University.
Essentia Health welcomes orthopedic surgeon
FARGO, N.D. • Samual Lindemeier recently joined the Essentia Health orthopedic surgery team in Fargo.
Lindemeier, DO, specializes in complex hip and knee replacements in addition to direct anterior total hip replacements and will join a highly skilled and dedicated team in the Orthopedics and Sports Medicine department.
He earned his medical degree at Rocky Vista University in Parker, Colo. and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Michigan State University/McLaren Greater Lansing in Lansing, Mich. and residency in adult reconstruction at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill.
