HUTCHINSON, Minn. – A $17.5 million addition to Hutchinson Health has been completed by Kraus-Anderson.

The construction project expanded the hospital’s footprint by more than 17,000 square-feet and includes 18 new medical, surgical and intensive care patient rooms, according to Kraus-Anderson in a news release on Thursday, July 16. The rooms are spacious and include more patient amenities than the current rooms.

Wold Architects and Engineers designed the expansion. Construction, which included a new central utility plant, began in April 2019.

Hutchinson Health is a HealthPartners facility that is located about 60 miles west of Minneapolis. It offers a wide range of care from clinic services and outpatient procedures to inpatient care, according to the company.

Hutchinson Health is classified as a Level 4 trauma center. It provides initial evaluation, stabilization, diagnostic capabilities, and can transfer patients to a higher level of care if needed.
