Polk, Red Lake counties in Minnesota report new cases of coronavirus
Polk and Red Lake counties have reported a total of four lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus on Monday, April 20. Three of the cases are in Polk County.
"Based on calls I have received from Polk County residents over the weekend, I expect the number of lab-confirmed cases in Polk County to jump up throughout the week," said Sarah Reese, director of Polk County Public Health.
One of the cases in Polk County has fully recovered and is no longer in isolation. The other two, one in their 30s and one in their 40s, have not been hospitalized and are believed to have contracted the virus through community transmission. The individuals are isolated and being monitored. It is not known by Polk County Health whether the two individuals have a connection to LM Wind Power.
In Red Lake County, an individual in their 80s has been diagnosed with coronavirus. That person is not currently hospitalized.
