Brayan Fabricio Galeas-Hernandez, 18, of Willmar, was sentenced in Kandiyohi County District Court to five years of supervised probation after serving 128 days in the Kandiyohi County Jail. Galeas-Hernandez was originally charged as a juvenile with two counts of assault. He pleaded guilty in adult court to an amended charge of felony threats of violence in September. All other charges in the case were dismissed.

Toys for Tots program celebrates 10th year in Kandiyohi, McLeod and Stearns counties

A West Central Tribune Minute feature story: The Toys for Tots campaign in Kandiyohi, McLeod and western Stearns counties is marking its 10th anniversary this year, while the national program, run by the Marine Corps Reserve, is marking 75 years of providing holiday cheer for children. In the region, it is shaping up to be a big year with coordinator Steve Gralish hoping to provide four to five toys per child.
