The coronavirus pandemic slowed movement on the corridor project, and a developer slated to be part of the project, at least peripherally, needs to complete ongoing projects in Grand Forks before committing to a downtown development plan.
City leaders have started to dive into a newly released study that gives the city recommendations to improve the University Avenue Corridor, including improving safety for pedestrians and bicyclists, finding new ways to boost activity and establishing a residential improvement district.
A survey conducted by the Community Foundation, the Knight Foundation and the local firm JLG spent months taking answers from residents. The results of the length survey were released Tuesday.
