The annual one-day celebration of hockey in the state will be coming to one of the northernmost communities in the state in early 2024, as officials from the Minnesota Wild announced the awarding of Hockey Day Minnesota to Hockeytown USA.
Bill Christian, Dave Christian, Henry Boucha and Gigi Marvin are the only other former Warriors with retired numbers.
Defenseman Keaton Thompson of Devils Lake is headed to Milwaukee in the American Hockey League this season.
The former Warroad and UND star has an emotional return to the ice for the Washington Capitals.

Washington Capitals right wing T.J. Oshie wants to play hockey again, and he isn't too concerned about where, how or when. The NHL season has been paused since March 12 because of the novel coronavirus pandemic, and once it becomes safe enough to resume play, Oshie will be happy just to be back on the ice.
