The Minnesota Legislature passed a bill last week that would require utilities in the state to wean off of fossil fuels by 2040. North Dakota officials say the policy would be unconstitutional.
"Has anyone informed the House, the Senate, the governor that they've already lost at this?" Ag Commissioner Doug Goehring asked, referring to Minnesota's proposed ban on some energy imports.
"The biggest problem with the measure is it robs voters of the right to elect legislators they continue to support," the letter states.

BISMARCK — The deadline for eligible expenses for the North Dakota Department of Agriculture's Emergency Feed Transportation Assistance Program has been extended. The program will reimburse eligible producers for a portion of feed transportation expenses between Sept. 30, 2019, and Feb. 20, 2020.
