My daughter just bought me a John Wayne official collector's edition magazine. He was certainly a true American. As I read the magazine and looked at the photographs, he was very much respected and he really loved his country, the United States of America.
What struck me as I read this magazine is that it is too bad he is not alive today. I am sure that he would have spoken out and influenced what is currently happening in the American political democratic experiment today. His words and love of the United States would have certainly had a positive effect on American society. It is just too bad he is gone.
