A few words to the not-so-wise. My conservative friends, if you consider an AR15 to be synonymous with the Second Amendment, you may well be watching defeat from the jaws of victory in the midterm elections. Ten shot clip, fine – but if you can’t hit your target with the first five shots, you are in big trouble. It’s late for self-defense.
Lest anyone think I’m anti gun, I recommend that any sane household have one, 9MM or larger. It’s not like you are the Lone Ranger and not going to kill anyone. Shoot the gun out of someone’s hand.
When the Second Amendment was written, it was the wad and the ramrod. Of course, that was what the enemy also had. If an intruder was to enter your house and do you harm, it was likely to be with a knife or a club. Be careful. We don’t want anyone to kill a teenage son coming home at 3 in the morning, drunk or stoned.
I am a conspiracy theorist. There is no potential enemy greater than the state. One, or should I say two, characteristics that tyrants and dictatorships have in common is a standing army and an unarmed populace.
Keep your powder dry. More importantly, keep your cool.
