I wish I would have written sooner, as this is actually in response to three letters about Planned Parenthood that I have disliked in the Herald.
After reading the letter to the editor in the May 8 Herald ( “Planned Parenthood a great resource” ) I couldn’t help but be mad, but then I remembered a Bible verse I memorized as a youth: “Be ye angry and win not; let not the sun go down upon your wrath,” Ephesians 4:26, and slept peacefully.
In the morning, the Lord gave me a wonderful devotion called, “Listening to wise advice” in our Daily Bread about my favorite president, Abraham Lincoln, who swallowed his pride, changed his mind and followed the advice of one of his cabinet members because he knew he was wrong and Edwin Stanton was right.
If anyone really wants to know the truth about Planned Parenthood, they should read the book “Unplanned,” by former center director Abby Johnson or watch the movie of the same name, to see what ungodly things Planned Parenthood does every day. Read “From Death to Life: Stories of Former Abortion Workers,” with Dave Franco, to know the truth about that organization’s agenda of death. Read Genesis 1:27, Psalm 139:13-24, and 2 Corinthians 13:5 to know what God says is the truth, and “let God be true, but every man a liar…”, Romans 3:4a. I hope those reading this will see how evil Planned Parenthood is.
