Letter: Disappointing to see Stenehjem join

Texas' case represents the worst type of partisanship led by an attorney general who, if the current investigations are proven valid, represents the worst type of public servant.

Letter to the editor FSA

Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem, allow me to express my disappointment in your office's decision to support the Supreme Court case of Texas vs. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the State of Michigan, the State of Georgia and the State of Wisconsin. This case serves only one purpose: to further bolster the idea that if the people vote in a way that is deemed incorrect by those in power, the votes will be corrected. That idea is an attack on one of the fundamental tenets of the US Constitution.

Texas' case represents the worst type of partisanship led by an attorney general who, if the current investigations are proven valid, represents the worst type of public servant. The case itself is a poorly written document that attempts to frame conspiracy theories as facts. Its mere presence diminishes whatever positive reputation the industry has left. Watching this case unfold is akin to watching the reality TV shows where professional Bigfoot hunters whack sticks on trees.

There are many North Dakotans in dire need of justice. To see our public resources abused in this way is disappointing.
