Letter: Disappointed in tarot card story

Letter to the editor FSA

I was disappointed that the Herald would run an article about tarot cards, making them sound relatively innocent and fun.

By “playing” with tarot cards and Ouija boards and the like, users hope to find out about the future, but knowing the future is God’s realm. These activities are implicitly forbidden by the First Commandment – “I am the Lord your God. You shalt not have strange gods before me.”

They are also gateways to the Occult and to be avoided at all cost. As the article states, just having a reading “for fun,” can lead to a person taking it seriously. Regular clients get dependent on them before they’ll make a decision, perhaps.

Please, people, put your trust in God, not cards.
