Letter: Build a new 'main road' in Grand Forks

I believe that the bridge idea that had been proposed for the city of Grand Forks and East Grand Forks would be a great addition to the area for the convenience of the people of the city.

I personally think that, instead of building the bridge on Elks Drive or 32nd Avenue, that there should be a new main road like Washington and Columbia be built so that traffic can be more controlled and thus making it safer for the civilians around the area. Some people have brought up the fact that children from the schools are crossing the roads not at the crosswalks provided for them, and I think that it would be a lot safer if a main road was built and had more crosswalks, making it safer for the children, hopefully.
