The recent Grand Forks Herald articles by Mike Jacobs and Sam Easter describe a proposed project called "historic" because of the scope of the investment.

I believe this could also be a historic opportunity to design, build and run a very large "wet corn milling" facility while causing little or no environmental damage. Mike Jacobs mentioned a goal of "net zero emissions by 2050."

UND has the EERC and many other resources that could contribute to such a facility. Other people with knowledge of current research will step up if asked. Instead of building a facility "the way we've always done it before," please look ahead to 2050 and plan for environmental stability.

Our children and grandchildren will appreciate what you do today.
