When a woman uses the phrase “my body, my choice” in regard to abortion, she believes a false notion. Since the baby growing within is a unique, unrepeatable individual with its own heartbeat, that is the body of another.
When women and men choose abortion, they are ending the life of their own child. Abortion kills unborn babies, denying them the most basic of all human rights, the right to life. In the past I’ve been asked why I am pro-life. Unborn children have no voice, which is why we, who have voices, must speak for them. They are innocent and weak and deserve to be defended.
Mother Teresa boldly stated, “Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use violence to get what they want. That is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion.” Our country is failing in this.
Why for almost 50 years has it become accepted to end another’s life through abortion? How has the killing of innocent children in the womb ever come to pass? Either all lives matter or no lives matter. I believe that all lives matter.
Abortion is not a “woman’s right,” nor is it a solution for those who fear what could happen next. For women and men who find themselves in desperate situations, there is hope and help available. Please choose hope over fear.
