The U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report recently concluded that “climate change is widespread, rapid, and intensifying” and that “some trends are now irreversible.” The IPCC goes on to say, “The evidence is irrefutable.” The IPCC and the Democratic Party believe that climate change is an “existential threat.” I believe they are using climate change to create fear. They are relying on fear to create climate hysteria to advance their radical climate policies. Fear is their political motivator.

The IPCC has a 50-year history of being inaccurate, never having to be accountable. First cooling, then warming, and now changing. The truth is CO2 is a greenhouse gas that life on earth depends upon. Atmospheric levels of CO2 have been increasing since the Industrial Revolution. The IPCC chooses to ignore anything that does not support their predictions and thereby generate the results they want.

Today’s climate news proves my point. Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY) is calling for more legislative action to combat climate change. He said, “Global warming is upon us.” And then tweeted, “Woe to us if we don’t recognize these changes are due to climate change.”

The climate alarmists tell us every year we are close to a tipping point – a point of no return. I wonder what their goal is. They never tell us. What temperature or climate do they wish to attain? How is it we are breaking cold and heat records today that were established a hundred years ago? The truth is, the sun rises, the earth rotates and the climate always changes. Warming and cooling trends have been occurring for centuries.

I find it puzzling that climate activists only promote renewable energy sources like solar and wind. Why don’t they ever mention nuclear energy as a potential source of energy? It makes this whole “crisis” all the more suspicious.

The money invested in climate change will hurt the poor and all Americans by making the cost of heating and cooling our homes more expensive. Americans need to be informed about how the Democratic Party is spending our money to advance their ideology. Is climate change “man-made” or is the crisis “man-made?” To use their words, could this whole climate change fear really be an expensive “big lie?”
