I and several of my friends are lucky to not have had the pandemic affect our income or savings. We don’t need another stimulus check; in fact we feel a bit uneasy about accepting one when we know there are people who have lost their jobs and are fighting to find ways to feed their kids.

If you, too, feel fortunate to only have to sacrifice time with your kids and/or grandkids, consider paying it forward. Help those who are less fortunate by paying at least a portion of your next stimulus check forward. Send a check to a food bank, the Salvation Army, the Red Cross, the Senior Center or to family or friends who are less fortunate. I sent my last check to my three oldest grandkids who are struggling with college expenses; one was selling her blood to cover her expenses.

You’ll be surprised how good paying it forward makes you feel.
