This letter is paid content. Kyle Thorson is running for the ND State Senate, District 18. As someone who has worked very closely with Kyle as a fellow board member for the Community Violence Intervention Center (CVIC), including one year during which I served as the chairperson, I would like to share some important things about him with Grand Forks voters.
First, Kyle is tireless in his support for the Grand Forks community. In addition to his work as an HR Technology program manager and as a small business owner, Kyle has volunteered for numerous community and nonprofit organizations, including Christus Rex, the UND Committee on Sexual Violence Prevention, the ND Human Rights Coalition, and the CVIC. In fact, Kyle donates part of the proceeds from Archives Coffee House to local non- profits.
Second, Kyle is passionate about the safety, dignity and quality of life for all members of the Grand Forks community. This has been more than evident throughout his five years as a fellow board member for the CVIC. He is optimistic in his belief that as a community we can improve the lives of countless citizens by significantly reducing or even eliminating violence within our community. To accomplish such goals requires people, like Kyle, who are willing to give of their time, talent and treasures and to work with a diverse team of people and ideas.
Lastly, Kyle Thorson is a very kind and generous person. He listens to other people and is willing to work with everyone, even those with whom he may not always agree, to accomplish the work that must be completed.
Kyle Thorson is a good and honorable man whom I have had the privilege of working closely with for a number of years. Please consider supporting him, as I do. Darla Adams
