In my view, the ads that North Dakota Farmers Union is running in support of a "No" vote on Measure 1 are deceiving the voters of North Dakota.

The ads imply that if Measure 1 passes, large out-of-state corporations are going to come into North Dakota and buy all the farmland away from family farmers. This is not true. A non-family corporation cannot and will not be able to raise any wheat, corn, soybeans or any other crop on the 640 acres they would be allowed to buy

They could use this land only to produce milk and pork.

It appears that the Farmers Union feels that North Dakota should continue to import our dairy and pork products and export our grain.
