Letter: Westward expansion needs more research

To the editor,

Before Grand Forks wastes taxpayer dollars building infrastructure west of Grand Forks, would it not be prudent to see some interest from developers in this area?

Grand Forks City Planner Brad Gengler is the same one who thinks it's a good idea to spend taxpayer dollars to narrow DeMers Avenue downtown, which is already hazardous. I can't imagine it narrower than it is now and being safer.

Those spending taxpayer dollars need to do more research and better communicate how their spending is benefitting the spending of our hard-earned dollars.
