To the editor,

A cold winter will soon be upon us. It's time that we appreciate the affordable energy that allows Minnesotans to live through the wintry chill in comfort. From heating our homes to plowing our roads, winters in Minnesota should make us realize just how much we depend on oil and natural gas.

If we want this energy to be available to us at a low cost, we should consider the importance of energy infrastructure. We rely on pipelines and other infrastructure to transport and store oil and natural gas safely and efficiently. If we don't have adequate capacity, then we will be paying much higher prices for the energy we need.

I can't understand any Minnesotan who doesn't want to see our energy infrastructure updated. What I do know is that I support affordable energy and the infrastructure that makes it available.
