Regarding the column by Richard Berman, " Labor reform needed in North Dakota-and nationally " (Page A4, Feb. 3):

Berman is the head of several conservative think tanks dedicated to anti-union activities, opposition to minimum wage laws and general opposition to Democratic Party policies.

I don't disagree that his column was well written and clearly put forth his positions on the column's issues. My complaint is that by leaving off any explanation as to who he is or whose interests he represents, the Herald does a poor job of educating its readers.

After all, if there was a similar column written by one of the Republican candidates for governor of North Dakota, then the Herald would clearly identify who the writer was.
