I and many others would like to see SOME kind of response from our governor, Legislature and congressional delegation regarding the pipeline spill of nearly 3 million gallons of saltwater brine north of Williston. Some of that brine has reached Blacktail Creek, the waters of which eventually flow into the Missouri River.

Our lawmakers and congressional delegation were in complete agreement with the Keystone XL pipeline, and touted it as being "good for the economy." But the building and operation of oil pipelines have inherent risks, of which pollution from spillage is the most common.

So, what are the lawmakers and delegation's responses? What do they think about the clean-up plans, the oil companies' responsibility and the future prevention of these spills?
