To the editor,
A letter from my friend Eliot Glassheim in the Oct. 13 Herald (" Godfread omitted important facts "), Eliot said the Graham-Cassidy health care bill would have left 47,000 North Dakotans without insurance.
What he omitted himself was that North Dakota would have received a block grant of $650 million to take care of those 47,000 folks and other health care needs.
Anybody who thinks North Dakota couldn't do a better job than the federal government needs to think about all those things Uncle Sam just can't seem to get right.
Need I repeat Glassheim's final words? "It's unfortunate that leaders won't tell the Herald or the public the rest of the story."
