The people have spoken, and they have elected Hillary Clinton by more than a 630,000 popular vote margin.

Do you think your vote doesn't count? The two states with the smallest voting-age population, Vermont and Wyoming, have a combined number of potential voters of more than 950,000. They certainly could affect the popular vote totals.

The Electoral College allows for the election of a president who is not the choice of the people.

The question of whether the Electoral College elects a Democrat or a Republican is not important. What is important is the fact the Electoral College does not always elect the candidate who is the choice of the people.

It's time to rely on the popular vote of the citizens and do away with the Electoral College.
