To the editor,

The people of North Dakota must be allowed to make their own decisions who will represent them, not outside interests such as "Americans for Prosperity," owned by the Koch brothers, as one of their biggest political weapons.

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) was founded in 2004 and is a conservative political advocacy group in the United States funded by David H. Koch and Charles Koch. As the Koch brothers' primary political advocacy group, the Kochs all but own the Republican Party-think they believe what North Dakota conservatives believe? Think again. Read the book "Sons of Wichita" or "Dark Money." I think you will find their position on many conservative issues are not yours - the Koch's are libertarians.

In this hyper-partisan time it's time we all do our own homework, not what is on Facebook or television.
