To the editor,

I suggest in western civilization, we have a case of cultural schizophrenia.

Women supposedly are not to be considered sex objects. If this is so, why do we have v-neck blouses; barebacked gowns, some with a V to the navel; and bikinis?

Meanwhile, men have shirts buttoned to the neck and ties. Of all pieces of apparel, the tie is the most nonsensical. A suit and tie may be the norm, but it's nothing more than a civilian uniform.

If any psychologist, psychiatrist or sociologist wants to dispute this, have at it.
