GRAFTON, N.D. -- In May, I had an incredible opportunity to become chairman of the North Dakota Teen Age Republicans. I love my job and the teenagers I work with, people such as Beth Plemel from Starkweather, N.D., who is spearheading the creation of this organization in the Starkweather area. She is a wonderful person who cares about her country and is a fine leader. She also is vice chairman and my best friend.
It is a great year for North Dakota Teen Age Republicans because we have gained membership in the Grafton, Starkweather, Larimore, Tioga and Bismarck areas as well as in other towns across the state.
Our main purpose is to inform and educate teenagers about politics and to get them actively involved in activities such as walking in parades this summer, working for Senate candidate John Hoeven or House candidate Rick Berg, putting up yard sings or volunteering for the North Dakota Republican Party.
This is a great program because these teenagers will be the future leaders of North Dakota. God bless them and God bless America.
