It’s tournament time.
And it’s time changing time. If Confucius was still around he probably would say: He who forgets to set the clock ahead Saturday night probably will wake up an hour late for church on Sunday morning.
Brad Berry will have the UND hockey team ready to skate at 7:37 p.m. tonight. And the Ralph should be buzzing. There will be students on hand wearing some of the gear from the good old days. This is the beginning of spring break. There are those who will venture to far away places. But when it comes right down to it, many will just go home. Or stay on campus.
Many years, the sun and the sand in far away places call students on spring break. This year the guess is they will be more hesitant.
Parade downtown
While the snow melts, the Grand Forks Masons are all a twitter. They have been planning their 13th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade.

Will they wait for March 17?
Oh, no. They will hold it this Saturday. They will line up at 2:30 p.m. on South Third Street – near the Grand Forks County parking ramp.
The parade will start at 3 p.m. and travel north, ending at Kelly’s Tavern.
Free Masons of Malta Lodge 131, including the KEM Shriners, are sponsoring the parade. And it’s open to the public with some local businesses and friends also participating. Mark Argenziano (917-439-9587) is the contact for those who want to join in the parade.
Oh, and by the way, there will be no candy. This is because of the COVID-19 risk.
The man with anymore answers to general questions about the parade is Jesse Stephan (701-741-2720).
