To the editor,
With Grand Forks Mayor Brown and the City Council giving away taxpayer monies in the name of investing in downtown, I was wondering what the return on these investments is?
Rather than giving away more taxpayer money, let those who want to do business or build housing put their money to work, not taxpayers' money.
Why does the city always have consultants from out of state, not local? Another waste of taxpayer money.
Why do the supervisors of streets spend so much time giving interviews and not supervising? Last night on TV, they showed street crews clearing a street with a giant snowblower that was blowing most of the snow on the side of the dump truck and road. He needs to train employees how to use equipment, not give interviews to press, as was obvious from TV footage.
