Vicki A. Cookman

Vicki A. Cookman, age 60, resident of Vista, CA, formerly of Michigan, ND, died Sunday, May 24, 2020 in Williams, AZ.

Vicki Ann Wall was born August 18, 1959 in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Larry and Barbara (Stich) Wall. She was raised on the family farm and graduated from Michigan High School in 1977. She then attended NDSU at Fargo. During her career Vicki worked in corporate accounting, and was currently working at Schools First Credit Union. Vicki married Michael Cookman on May 23, 1997 in Las Vegas, NV. Vicki enjoyed spending time on vacations, with family and friends, driving with the top down, and riding the coast on a Harley Davidson with her loving husband. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. She succeeded in becoming the most devoted, honest, loving, and caring wife, mother, daughter, and sister to ever have had the opportunity to grace this planet with her presence.

Vicki will be deeply missed by her husband, Michael Cookman of Vista, CA; 3 sons, Josh (Blanca) Rock of Anaheim, CA, Devin Cookman of Mira Loma, CA, and Justin Cookman of Vista, CA; her mother, Barbara Wall of Lakota, ND; 3 siblings, Bart (Rhonda) Wall of Lakota, Robyn (Myron) Jacobsen of Rock Lake, ND, and Dean (Michelle) Wall of Lakota; and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Wall.

The Funeral Mass for Vicki will be held at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lakota, ND, on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Lakota Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Church on Wednesday, beginning at 6:00 p.m. with a Vigil and Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
