Robert D. Anderson

Robert Duane Anderson, 83 died Monday morning, March 15, 2021 at First Care Health Center, Park River, ND.

Robert was born December 3, 1937 in Grafton, ND, his life-long home. He grew up and graduated from Grafton High School where he excelled in sports. Robert cherished his wife, Jane whom he married on September 6, 1955 in Iowa. He loved his family and farmed his entire life in the Grafton area.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jane Anderson (Kasprick) and his parents Joseph and Grace Anderson (Eikenberry). He is survived by his aunt Imogene Hanson (Eikenberry), his sister Susan Anderson; his children, grandchildren, a great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.

He loved a good laugh over a great joke, driving in wide open spaces, Ma’s hot and sour soup from Lee’s, sharing a lutefisk dinner with his great friend, Doctor Myron Scheflo, MD, and the companionship of his dog Bandit. His passing leaves the world a dimmer and lonelier place.

Robert’s family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff and nurses of First Care Health Center. You treated him as if he were your own.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 20, 2021 in St. John’s Catholic Church, Grafton, ND

Visitation: One Hour Prior Funeral Service in St. John’s Catholic Church.

Interment: St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Grafton, ND.
