Robert “Bob” Joseph Zejdlik Jr.

Robert “Bob” Joseph Zejdlik Jr., 75, Grand Forks, died Thursday September 15, 2022, peacefully in his home.

Robert was born February 25, 1947, in Grand Forks, the son of Robert and Margaret (Vasek) Zejdlik Sr. He grew up and attended school in East Grand Forks, graduating from East Grand Forks Senior High. After graduating from high school, Bob joined the US Navy. He received a Medical Discharge with Honorable Conditions.

Bob worked in construction working for Fritz Building Contract and Concrete Inc./Wells Concrete. He retired in 2016.

He enjoyed spending time with his children, and he was promoted to grandpa in 2008. His grandchildren were the light of his life. Bob also enjoyed cooking, fishing, going to the races, anything Sioux sports, especially hockey. Bob was a very happy and kind man who loved life and meeting up with new and old friends.

Bob is survived by his children: Joshua Zejdlik, Chelsea (Jeremy) Badger; grandchildren: Abby Zejdlik, Hayden Badger; brothers: Ardell Zejdlik, Curt (Jan) Zejdlik, Tim (Audrey) Zejdlik; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Marvin Zejdlik, Terry Zejdlik, and Darrell Zejdlik.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service.
