Kyle K. Schwanz, 32, of Fargo, ND and formerly of Grand Forks, ND passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023, in Fargo.

Kyle Kenneth Schwanz was born on July 15, 1990, in Grand Forks, ND the son of Timothy and Pamela (Kennedy) Schwanz. Kyle was raised in Grand Forks and attended St. Michael’s Elementary School, Valley Middle School, Community High School, and Northland Technical College. Kyle started working in the food industry while in high school and found his love for cooking. He had a fondness for Mexican Food and pickle rollups. His last job was with Chili’s Restaurant in Fargo.

Kyle had a love for all the thrills, especially amusement parks, where the higher and faster the ride the better. He enjoyed driving go-carts, enduro bikes and anything fast. He loved spending time with his family and friends at the lake, water skiing, and tubing. Kyle could swim like a fish. He liked movies, especially the ones made in the 1990’s. He was a lover of cats, especially his pal, Theodore. Kyle was a man of few words but to those who knew and loved him he had the biggest heart and wore a contagious smile. As a small child, he was called “Smiley Kylie”.

Kyle is survived by his parents, Tim and Pam Schwanz; a sister, Aimee (Travis) Thibert; a brother, Jared (Kari) Schwanz; nephews, Anthony, William and Henry Schwanz; a niece, Brooklyn Brecke, all of Grand Forks, ND; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willard and Betty Schwanz, Colleen and Marty Hull and Kenneth Kennedy; an aunt, Kathie Kvasager; an uncle, Jim Kennedy and cousins, Shale Weekly, Casey Weekly, Phoenix Rodell and all those he loved that passed before him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.

Memorial Service and Celebration of Life: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2023, in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.

Family Greeting: One hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Wednesday.
