Jennifer J. Harrison, 53, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Friday, October 28, 2022, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

Jennifer Jean Washburn was born on December 10, 1968, in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Howard and Nancy (Brookhart) Washburn. She was raised in Grand Forks and graduated from Red River High School. During high school and college, she was active in track and field. Jennifer went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree from Morningside University and a master’s degree from Strayer University.

Jennifer married Robert Harrison in August of 1992 in Grand Forks. She lived in Sioux City, IA, Washington, D.C., Shreveport, LA, Los Angeles, CA and Omaha, NE. During this time, she was employed in defense contracting. Jennifer returned to Grand Forks in 2021. Presently, she was employed in the Division of Human Resources with Bechtel Engineering, Construction and Project Management.

Jennifer was a movie enthusiast, a music lover and enjoyed running and traveling. She had a deep faith in God and was an Evangelical Christian.

Jennifer shared the priceless gift of life through organ donation. Because of her charity, 3 men and one women received a new lease on life.

She is survived by her son, Jacob R. Harrison, Papillion, NE; her parents, Howard and Nancy Washburn, Grand Forks, ND and a sister, Kimberly (John) Davis, Las Vegas, NV.

She was preceded in death by her son, Tyler Harrison and former husband, Robert Harrison.

Memorial Service and Celebration of Life: 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022, in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.

Family Greeting: On hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Saturday.
