Mark D. Lunski, 54, of Minto and formerly of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, Oct. 9, at Unity Hospital in Grafton and was reunited with his love, Geralyn.
Mark was born October 15, 1966 in Grafton, to the late Sylvester and Yvonne (Narloch) Lunski. He grew up in Minto, raising heck with his three older brothers before graduating from high school in 1984.
He married Geralyn Lerian on March 15, 1992, in Badger, Minnesota. The couple welcomed two children, Karisa and Kyler, into their home filled with love and laughter and spent 26 years happily married before Geralyn lost a hard fought battle to breast cancer in 2018.
Mark worked hard his entire life to provide everything he could for his family. Most recently as a welder at Harriston Industries in Minto. He also loved his farm and all of his cattle. He was truly at peace while cutting hay in the sunset.
He had a love for music and classic cars. He loved making everyone laugh as he would squeal out of the parking lot while revving the engine.
One of Mark’s most treasured titles was being grandpa to three year old Gracelynn. If grandpa was near, Gracelynn was smiling. She followed him everywhere and spent endless hours in the tractor with him.
One of the things Mark was known best for was his endless ability to crack jokes and fill an entire room with laughter. From performing hilarious skits as Johnny Cash at family Christmases to jumping onto a merry-go-round with a group of kids at the park as if he was one of them — his fun-loving nature will be remembered and deeply missed by his loved ones forever.
Mark is survived by his children Karisa and Kyler Lunski, both of Minto; granddaughter Gracelynn Daley; brothers Allan Lunski of Grand forks and Mike Lunski of Minto; along with many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Geralyn in 2018, parents Sylvester and Yvonne, and brother Dale Lunski.
