70, of Grand Rapids, Mi, passed away on Tuesday, February 9th after a long battle with disabilities brought on by cancer treatments 22 years ago. Denise was a beloved professor of Counseling and Psychology at the University of North Dakota until she retired in 1998 due to her disabilities. A lover of art, literature, music, and active sports, Denise was full of light and energy.
