Audrey Ann Grabanski was born July 5, 1938 at Grafton, ND to Anton and Frances (Slominski) Grabanski. She was raised on a farm north of Warsaw, ND. She attended country school in Pulaski Township and graduated from Grafton High School in 1956. She was united in marriage to Duane Paschke at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Warsaw on April 9, 1958. They made their home first in Grand Forks, N.D. and then for many years in Oslo, MN.
Audrey was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Oslo. She served as a Eucharistic minister, the Living Rosary, Altar Society, and taught religion classes. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Audrey was employed as a paraprofessional for 30 years first at Oslo, then Alvarado. Audrey enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, gardening, golfing, traveling, and dancing, even serving as the Polka Queen in 2009-2010 of the local chapter of the Polka Club of America! After her retirement, she and Duane spent winter months in Arizona. Audrey and Duane traveled to Poland to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Audrey’s grandchildren will always remember Nana’s root beer shakes, annual Easter egg hunt, and her delicious baked caramel rolls and chicken dumpling soup.
She is survived by her husband Duane, sons Perry (Greta), Mayville, ND and Paul (Linda), Hudson, WI; Grandchildren Marit (Matt) Lau of St. Louis, MO, and Brandon, Collin, and Devin Paschke of Hudson, WI, Leah (Gertjan) Muskee, Almere, the Netherlands, Tom (Dena) Kyllo, Fargo, ND, and Ronnie Kyllo, Tacoma, WA; and brother Merlyn (Dolores) Grabanski, Grafton, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Earl Grabanski, and sisters Alice Sevigny, Evelyn Feltman, and Vivian Collette-Secrist.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 AM, Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 6098 County Rd. 4, Warsaw, ND 58261.
Visitation: 1 hour before services at the church.
Interment: St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Warsaw, ND.
