Nancy Sondrol
Nancy Sondrol, 81, of Grand Forks, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 21, 2020 at her home after a two year battle with cancer.
Nancy Quirk Sondrol was born in Grand Forks, April 2, 1939 to the late Bernard and Esther (Ahlgren) Quirk. She was raised in Climax, MN and graduated from high school there. In 1960, she graduated from the Sisters of St. Joseph School of Nursing and was employed as an RN at St. Francis Hospital in Crookston. On November 19, 1960, she married Harlin Sondrol in Fisher and they made their home in rural Buxton, where they raised their four sons.
She was active in the Royal Neighbors, township board, school board, and teaching religious classes. After her husband passed away in 2008, she moved to Grand Forks where she enjoyed volunteering.
Survivors include her sons Rick (Lori) Sondrol of Grand Forks and their daughters Jadyn and Jasmine; Ron (Melissa) Sondrol of Buxton and their children Riley and Erin; Randy (Lisa Wiersma) Sondrol of Erskine and their daughters Hanna and Jenna; and Ryan Sondrol of Reynolds; and her sister Bev Wallace of Edmonds, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harlin, and sister Joyce Nerby.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Grand Forks Senior Center.

Mass of Christian Burial: Will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Holy Family Catholic Church and will be live-streamed at Nancy’s page at www.dandahlfuneralhome.com.
Inurnment: Greenwood Cemetery, Fisher, MN will immediately follow the funeral.
