Mae Ella Jackson 74, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at her home in Grand Forks, ND, surrounded by her loving family. Mae was born on April 27, 1947 to Howard and Esther Helgoe in Cavalier, ND. Mae graduated from Cavalier Highschool and Aaker’s Business College.

She married Donald Jackson on July 26, 1969 in Cavalier, ND. Together they made their home in Grand Forks, raising two children.

Mae worked for Border State Electric for 33 years retiring in 1999. In her retirement she worked for Macy’s and Ralph Engelstad Arena.

She enjoyed casino adventures, rummage sales, and Mae’s mystery shopping trips. Mae loved to tend to her beautiful flowers, socialize with friends, and play Bunko.

Mae is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Chris) Stokke of Princeton, MN; son, Brian (Rachelle) Jackson of Fargo; grandkids Kaitlyn, Connor, Cullen Stokke. Sidnee, (twin granddaughters, Kayla and Alexis Jackson); and brothers, Larry (Penny) Helgoe of Kansas, and Floyd (Kathy) Helgoe of North Dakota. Mae also loved her many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

**Memorials may be directed to Augustana Lutheran Church or the Altru Cancer Center in Mae’s name. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. on July 6, 2021 at Augustana Lutheran Church in Grand Forks.

Visitation: 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Monday, July 5, at Amundson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue from 10-11am at the church prior to the service.

Inurnment: Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
