Lilly Ann Anderson

Lilly Ann Anderson, 72, of Grand Forks, ND, formerly of Maddock, ND, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at her home under the care of hospice. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Grace Baptist Church in Grand Forks, ND with Pastor Ray Russell officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at the Fairview Scandinavian Lutheran Cemetery in rural Maddock, ND at a later date in the spring.

Lilly Ann was born November 23, 1947 in Maddock, ND to Hartley and Mabel (Tobiason) Anderson. She attended country school in Benson County and continued grade 7-12 in Maddock graduating Maddock High School in 1965. Lilly furthered her education at Jamestown State College, graduating in 1982 as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and obtaining her BA of Nursing in 1997.

Lilly worked in the Devils Lake nursing facilities and as a travel nurse after school. She then accepted a position with the Altru Health System in Grand Forks in 1999, where she worked until her retirement. Lilly enjoyed riding bike, cross country skiing, gardening and reading. Her greatest love and joy came from animals, especially her cats.

Lilly is survived by her cousin, Carol Beck of Grand Forks, ND; nieces, Erin McNally of Grand Rapids, MN, Michelle (Tony) Bickford of Cohasset, MN and Kristin (Jason) Lane of Calumet, MN; nephew, Tim (Heather) McNally of Grand Rapids, MN; cousins, Grace Davidson of Peru, IA, Duane Georgeson of CA and Greg Davidson of Maddock, ND; many great nieces and nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hartley and Mabel Anderson; sister, Maureen (Edwin) McNally; nephew, Paul McNally; great-nephew, Austin Bickford.
