Joy Chalmers

Joy Chalmers, 86 of Green Valley, Az passed away on June 8, 2019 at La Via memory care in Green Valley, Az. Joy was born June 15, 1932 in Grand Forks, ND. She married Rolland Chalmers in July 1948. Together they raised 4 children. Joy worked as recreation director for the UND rehabilitation Center for many years. During these year she also earned a degree in recreation from Moorhead State University. Joy and Rolland moved to and enjoyed many years in Morgan Hill, Ca. Joy is survived by her children: Debbie (John) Watt, Wilder, Id; Scott Chalmers, Green Valley, Az; Greg (Lynne) Chalmers, Green Valley, Az, 7 siblings, 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Rolland, son Brad, her parents and 5 siblings. Interment service is at 2:30, September 21 at Nesbit cemetary, Malory, Mn followed by a reception at Mendenhall Presbyterian church, East Grand Forks.
