Hiladore A. Osowski, age 93 of rural Grafton, ND passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020 at his home near Grafton.

Hiladore A. Osowski was born July 29, 1927 in Minto, ND, the son of the late Frank and Helen (Osowski) Osowski. He attended school in Minto and later attended Acton School. He was drafted into the United States Army serving in Korea from November 21, 1950 to November 22, 1952. He achieved the rank of Cpl and was an U.S. Army Infantry Heavy Equipment Operator in the 25th division 14th regimen. After his honorable discharge, he returned to the Grafton area. Hiladore was united in marriage to Pauline Brosius on December 30, 1951. The couple made their home near Grafton where he farmed, worked for Soil Conservation and did custom harvesting from 1983 – 2001.

He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oakwood, ND, the Grafton American Legion Post and the V.F.W. of Kennedy, MN. He loved gardening and cat fishing with the boys. Hiladore was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved his whole family.

Hiladore is survived by his wife, Pauline Osowski, Grafton, ND; his children: Randy Osowski, Grafton, ND; VeAnn (Mike) Green, Kennedy, MN; Paul (Fran Coulthart) Osowski, Grafton, ND; Terry (Joan) Osowski, Hallock, MN; Bobby (Loree) Osowski, Grafton, ND; grandchildren: Nicole, Kristin, Matthew, Sarah, Kaylee, Natalie, Justin, Brandon and Stephanie; ten great grandchildren; sisters: Florence French, Grafton, ND and Lillian Verstrate, Portland, OR. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Ambrose, Hilary and Leo and sisters: Martha, Dorothy and Mary Ann.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oakwood, ND. A walk through visitation will be from 9:30 -10:30 A.M. at the church. A video will be posted on the Tollefson Funeral Home website following the service. Due to COVID restrictions, capacity requirements and social distancing will be observed, masks will be required. Interment will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Oakwood, ND. Military Rites will be provided by the Grafton American Legion Post, the V.F.W of Kennedy, MN and North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard.
