Charles "Chuck" Peterson

Charles "Chuck" Peterson, age 81, of East Grand Forks, MN, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND.

Chuck was born on February 14, 1937, in Grand Forks, ND, the son of the late Roland and Arloa Peterson. He grew up in East Grand Forks and graduated from East Grand Forks Senior High School. Afterwards, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served honorably from 1958 to 1962 as an Electronics Technician. On April 20, 1963, he was married to Muriel Borchert in East Grand Forks, MN, and they made their home in California. He graduated with an Associate's Art degree from Golden West College in Huntington Beach, CA, and then worked for Western Electric Corporation, in several different Real Estate Companies, Printonics, Rockwell International, and Orange County Transit, all in California. He retired in 1998 and moved back to East Grand Forks, MN.

Chuck leaves behind to mourn his passing his 3 daughters, Leigh (Glenn) McMaster of Oceanside, CA; Linda (Tim) Jones of Winchester, CA; and Lori (Dennis) Brooks of Winchester, CA; 5 grandchildren, Brian, Curtis, and Lainey McMaster, and Sarah and Tate Jones; 1 great-grandchild, Judah McMaster; and siblings, Mickey Quern of New York; David Peterson of Washington; Karen (Steve) McDougall of Washington; and Kristi (Gordon) LaFrance of Colorado; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Arloa Peterson, and brother, Gary Peterson.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.

Military honors will be provided by the East Grand Forks Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3817, American Legion Post #157, and the United States Navy.

Funeral Service: 10:30 am on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in East Grand Forks, MN.

Visitation: One Hour Before Service

Interment: Memorial Park Cemetery South in Grand Forks, ND.
