Marlene Anita (Sparks/Dahlin) Rogers passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018, at the Lake Country Nursing Home, Marietta, Oklahoma. She was 86. Born in Devils Lake, North Dakota, Marlene grew up in Brocket before moving to Grand Forks. In December 2016, Marlene relocated to Oklahoma to live with her sister, Vernae Trudeau. Marlene taught elementary school for several years before beginning her career in retail. Marlene enjoyed croqueting, canning, gardening, antiquing, and playing whist. She is survived by her brother Dean Dahlin, Grand Forks, Vernae Trudeau, Marietta, Oklahoma, Germaine Polak, Fort Worth, Texas, step-children Ellen and husband Tom Myers, Terry Rogers and wife Patty, Tim Rogers and wife Peggy, Bonnie and husband Triston Berquist, and Pam and husband Don Fisher. Marlene was always grateful for Tim and Peggy who were always nearby to help whenever necessary. Marlene was preceded in death by her father Gustof Dahlin, her mother Belle Dahlin, brother Merlyn Dahlin, and husbands Robert Sparks and Wesley Rogers.
