The North Dakota Game and Fish Department is seeking information about a moose poaching incident near Tolley, N.D., in Renville County northwest of Minot.
According to a post on the Game and Fish Department’s Facebook page, a cow moose was shot and left in a field near the intersection of 56th Avenue Northwest and 95th Street Northwest, northwest of Tolley. The incident most likely occurred between 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, and 7 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, the Game and Fish Facebook post indicated.
It appears the cow was shot several times with a shotgun and birdshot while possibly being chased by a vehicle. No meat was taken from the moose.
