The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is hosting a series of upcoming how-to webinars on a variety of fishing and hunting topics.   • July 17: Third annual Bemidji State University “War on the Shore” fishing tournament, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Virtual tournament will be conducted through www.tourneyangler.com, and the registration fee is $300 per boat (up to three anglers). Teams fishing in the Local Division are limited to lakes in Beltrami, Hubbard and Cass counties, while teams fishing the National Division can fish anywhere, as long as the target species (walleyes and northern pike) are present. Tourney is catch-and-release only, with prizes based on the total length of 10 fish (seven walleyes and three northern pike) per boat. A social, meal, award ceremony and silent auction will follow from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ruttger’s Birchmont Lodge, 7598 Bemidji Road NE, Bemidji.
