A portion of Business Highway 2 will be closed this week for repairs to the railroad crossing, a press release from the Polk County Sheriff said.

The road will close Monday until Friday as the concrete surface will be replaced at the crossing between Fifth Avenue Northeast and County Road 17, the release said. Traffic will be detoured to Fifth Avenue Northeast and U.S. Highway 2, according to the release.

Access to American Crystal Sugar will be maintained for sugar beet trucks, but the release urges drivers to watch for extra traffic due to harvest.
